The moiré is a direct result of the misalignment of digital image source as it encounters the digital video recording device. No filters were used in its production.
I have an ongoing interest in the relationship of space, media, and capital, especially as they manifest in architecture and real estate. More specifically, I am curious as to how they function as a matrix of activities that dominate all of our activities, including foundational aspects of home and identity.
In this 2-channel video, there is one pair images of empty rooms found in a search of open houses on Trulia for New York City on 11/05/15 out of a total of 632 possible open houses. I collected a sampling of the images found and documented each image with an iPhone video of approximately 5 minutes.

The series of videos is then projected simultaneously on two adjoining walls which meet in a corner, mapping walls onto walls, and thus allowing the viewer some possibility of occupying the space.
